On Monday, the Mets have announced Terry Collins as their new manager. On Tuesday, he was introduced. In 2008, Collins manged the Orix Buffaloes in Japan. Collins has managed the Astros, and Angels before. He has a career 444-434 record as a manager, he has been an MLB manager for 6 years. He managed the Astros 1994-1996, and managed the Angels 1997-1999. Collins is currently 61 years old, and he'll be wearing number 10 in a Mets uniform.

Mets continue manager look
The Mets have been searching for a new manager over the past few weeks, and are now down to four options. The four contestants are, Chip Hale, Bob Melvin, Wally Backman, and Terry Collins. The two front runners are Melvin, and Collins. If I were Alderson, or Wilpon, I'd go with Bob Melvin, because he's the most experienced. Melvin is the only one who has managed an MLB team before. He managed the D'backs, and eventhough the D'backs aren't the greatest team, at-least Bob Melvin has experience in managing a major-league team.

Posey, and Feliz take home rookie of the year award
Yesterday, SF Giants catcher Buster Posey, along with Texas Rangers closer Neftali Feliz both won the rookie of the year awards. My personal opinion is that for the NL Jason Heyward should have won, and for the AL, I thought Austin Jackson was going to win. I think these 2 plyers are overrated because they both apeared in the World Series. If both Heyward, and Jackson played for World Series teams, I think they'd both win the rookie of the year award.

Giants Win World Series
On Monday night, the San Fransisco Giants won the 2010 world series. I was expecting Texas to win, but the Giants won in 5 games. They beat Jeff Francoeur's Rangers. Edgar Renteria was named world series MVP. This was the first time the Giants won the world series in San Fransisco.
