On Sunday night vs the Braves, Carlos Beltran left the game in the 2nd inning after fouling a pitch off his knee. After the foul ball off his leg, Beltran stayed in the game and struck out, and then was replaced by Willie Harris. Carlos Beltran took x-rays on his leg, and fortunately, the x-rays were negative. Beltran has been listed as day to day. At-least he won't join David Wright and Ike Davis on the DL.
Well the fact that Carlos Beltran is even getting injured in his contract year shows he wasn’t faking it in the past – although he seems to be coming back faster in his contract year – who knows? Steve Bag
ReplyDeleteI hope this means that Fred Wilpon will finally realize that it's time to let Beltran go. Why keep him if he's always getting injured?
