Last night, the Mets won their 3rd consecutive shutout over the Phillies 3-0. What won it all the pitching or the hitting? No question the pitching. In game 1, R.A Dickey pitched 6 scoreless innings, and Raul Valdez finished the job. In game 2, Hisonori Takahashi pitched like an ace in 6 scoreless innings. And in the most recent game, Mike Pelfrey was lights out pitching 7 strong, and K-Rod finished off the game.
Great post NJMetfan. You should post more often. Question is: how long will Dickey and Takahashi continue to pitch like this? Or will these great outings be just flukes like some of the good outings last year by Livan Hernandez and Nelson Figuoera last year?
ReplyDeleteBoy, what a stinker Saturday night's game was. They must cut Ollie- he came in in relief and gave up three runs, including a three run homer. What do you think NJMetFan?
