Beltran switches positions to right-field

Last weak, Carlos Beltran switched positions with Angel Pagan. This season Beltran will play right-field and Pagan will play center-field. Terry Collins moved him because in center-field, there is more ground to cover, and Carlos Beltran has a bad knee, so center-field is not good for his knee. If Beltran injures his knee in right-field, then Willie Harris will replace him. Because Beltran moved to right-field, I'm confident about his fielding but the only problem is, I'm not so confident about his hitting. With his bad knee, I don't think he'll get many base hits, but I do think he'll hit power. I think that if he doesn't go to the DL all year, he could hit up to 20 home runs. Beltran is making his spring training debut tomorrow against the Red Sox, so we'll see how he does in his new position.

  1. NJMetfan, I think Carlos is going to have a good year because he is a free agent at the end of the year so he will try very hard so he can get a good contract.

  2. By the end of this year, beginning of next year, the Mets will probably be without Beltran, Reyes, K-Rod, Ollie and Castillo.
